Has anyone managed to successfully disassemble the front grille of these speakers without snapping the plastic retention clips? I’m planning to clean the internal dust buildup, but the casing feels quite rigid, and I want to be absolutely sure about the correct pressure points before I accidentally cause any cosmetic damage. Checking the exact crossover frequency and driver impedance for the Sony SS-EX55 or SS-EX75 is essential before I attempt to pair them with a non-original amplifier. Will the technical documentation on manual machine provide a detailed wiring diagram and a list of part numbers for the tweeters? It would be a massive help to see the frequency response charts to determine if these units require a specific equalizer setting to achieve the best sound clarity in a small room.

Are you using the original Sony receiver, or are you connecting them to a different brand? I would advise you not to turn the volume up to full, because it may be that the amplifier is more powerful than the speakers. You can check all the wattage and ohm specifications in the user manual for Sony SS-EX55, SS-EX75 on the ManualMachine website so that you don't accidentally burn the speakers. When I want to remove dust, I always remove the front grilles carefully and without sudden movements, sometimes I can take a flat screwdriver to make it easier to pry. And one of your speakers is squeaking, so you want to look for other parts?
